Producers of the hit ABC reality show have been rather rather persistent trying to convince Bachelorette runner-up Chris Lambton to be the next Bachelor, and they're now resorting to a plan B. "Chris is absolutely not doing the Bachelor," a source tells OK! "He's been avoiding their phone calls."

Producers of the hit reality show typically hand-pick their Bachelors from the Bachelorette season, and Roberto Martinez was their top pick. But Ali Fedotowsky picked Roberto, which forces them to yet another alternative.

OK! NEWS: CHRIS LAMBTOTN DECLINED BACHELOR OFFER?
The Bachelor was scheduled to begin production of their new season this month, and will not begin until an official announcement has been made by ABC.
