Christina Applegate to Star in NBC Pilot As a Mom?

Everybody wanted her, but it sounds like NBC got her. Christina Applegate will reportedly be starring in a new NBC pilot produced by Lorne Michaels.

According to New York Magazine's Vulture, NBC has reportedly "won" Christina to star in a new comedy written by Parks and Recreation's Emily Spivey.

Christina would play a mom married to a stay-at-home dad, but last month the series was given a cast-contingent pilot order by NBC.

The project should move forward to air next fall if all the paperwork gets done.

And if Christina's on board then there's no real reason it shouldn't!
