Cissy Houston's First Interview Since Whitney's Passing

Cissy Houston spoke out for the first time since her daughter Whitney Houston’s passing last month, revealing how wonderful a person the “I Will Always Love You” singer was during her time.

While Whitney lost her life far too early, at the young age of 48, Cissy believes that the icon, “accomplished a whole lot in the short time that she had here,” as she said in an interview in Newark, N.J., via the Huffington Post.

The 78-year-old mother also spoke what “a wonderful person” Whitney was while out on Thursday at the New Hope Baptist Church, where the legendary singer’s funeral was held on Feb. 18.

Cissy also talked about doing the best that she could to raise Whitney in the interview, set to air on My9 this Monday.
Whitney was found unconscious in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room bathtub on Feb. 11. Her death was later ruled as an accidental drowning.
