Clarence Clemons "Seriously Ill" After Stroke as E Street Band Heads to His Side, Report Says

Just weeks after performing on the American Idol finale with Lady Gaga, legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons has suffered a stroke.

The 69-year-old saxophonist of the E Street Band is "said to be seriously ill after a stroke at his home in Florida," according to Showbiz411.com, via TMZ.

The report claims that members of the E Street Band were "advised to get down to Florida as soon as possible" to see their pal.

Clarence has battled several conditions over the last few years, including a double knee surgery, but it hasn't stopped him from performing with Bruce Springsteen and E Street.

Most recently, he collaborated with Lady Gaga on her hot new track "Edge of Glory," off the album Born This Way. He performed with her last month on the American Idol finale.
