Although Beyoncé snagged the lead female role and has her sights set on earning an Oscar, names for the male lead are currently up in the air. Russell Crowe is no longer in the running for the male lead who reaches out to help the rising star. Currently Will Smith, Jon Hamm and Eddie Murphy are in the running for the male lead but nothing is confirmed yet.
Considering Beyoncé's last film was Dreamgirls, in 2006, it's definitely time for her to sparkle in another musical!
