Colbie Caillat may be a Grammy winner, but that doesn't mean she breezed through when she tried out for American Idol. When Colbie first started to pursue her singing passion, she experienced a setback when she didn't make it through the original stages of the hit Fox singing competition.
"I'm shy," she told the Today show's Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb of her failed attempt at American Idol. "I'm nervous. I don't audition well. And I honestly gave bad auditions."
And she tried out more than once!
