Colin Farrell might have been Hollywood's bad boy back in the day, but lately this family man is more into yoga and spinning than drinking and partying until the wee hours of the morning.

Actually, Colin is celebrating seven years of sobriety and admits he never plans on going back to the way he was.

"Seven years sober. I'm really grateful. It’s really lovely to be present in my life," a humble Colin tells Ellen DeGeneres on her show today. "I was terrified of being sober because, I'm not saying I was a great actor before or a great actor since, but I was terrified that whatever my capacity was as an actor beforehand, however little or large — it would completely dispappear."

"I subscribed to the notion that to be able to express yourself in an artistic form in life, you have to live in perpetual pain, and it’s nonsense," he adds, proudly. "There's enough pain in the world."

Colin admits that he "laughs easier" nowadays and has "genuinely more fun in life" thanks to sobriety and yoga, which he says "keeps me erect," all joking aside! (He's talking about his spine, people!)

Now, he's looking for that special someone to share his joy of life with, and Ellen swears she's going to help him.

"Straight up, you are literally the closest thing I have to a girlfriend," the father of two tells Ellen, who says she's flattered but "completely out of the question."

"I don't have a type," Colin adds. "A human being, you know? I suppose kindness is kind of nice and sexy." Aww!
