While there is still time for the negotiation to not happen, it sounds like a deal that NBC would want to make to end the war, the Daily Beast reports.

According to reports, the Universal film studio chief, Ron Meyer, may have played a part in bringing Conan and Jay together to talk things out.

The agreement came down to how much money NBC would give to Conan, a source reported, which would likely stay confidential between parties.

An insider said NBC Universal started out sincerely wanting to be able to keep Conan on NBC in a 12:05 a.m. slot behind Leno, who will be reinstated at 11:35 p.m. But, executives finally realized that plan was unrealistic.

It is still unknown where Conan would go next, thought the most obvious option would be Fox, but if that were to happen it would take months before he was on the air.
