Country Fans Boo Jessica Simpson

If the fan reaction at the Country Thunder USA festival is any indication, Jessica Simpson's country music career isn't looking very bright, to say the least.
"She's an embarrassment to country music," a concertgoer tells The Kenosha News of her weekend performance in Randall, Wisc.
The 28-year-old, whose country album Do You Know is slated to hit stores Sept. 9, followed Kellie Pickler on stage and was instantly informed of the crowd's displeasure with her as she was greeted with a chorus of boos.
But the backlash didn't seem to faze her.
"I don't know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy, but I just want you to know that I'm just a girl from Texas; I'm just like you. I'm doing what I love and dating a boy Tony Romo," she told the crowd.
The singer then launched into covers of Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again," Shania Twain's "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under," and her 2005 remake of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" in her infamous Daisy Dukes.

No worries -- she did sing some of her own songs, including her first country single, "Come On Over," and her 2004 pop hit "With You," which didn't do anything to win over the crowd.
"I just don't hear the country in her; I don't hear the twang. She's not good enough to be here," an attendee says.
Adds another: "It's crap. She doesn't belong here."
Jess can take solace in the fact that at least one person appreciated her new career foray.
"I actually like her country songs better," a fan tells the paper. "She has a great voice, plus, she's adorable."
