Country Music Star Trace Adkins Loses Home in Fire

Amidst the fun MTV Movie Awards coverage of what they wore and who kissed whom, there's somber news to report this morning as well. Sadly, country music star and former Celebrity Apprentice contestant Trace Adkins, lost his Tennessee home to a house fire. Luckily no one was hurt.

Trace's wife Rhonda was out running errands and when she returned home she saw black smoke in the sky! According to PopEater, her kids and babysitter were apparently inside and Trace was en route to Alaska for a concert!

The babysitter quickly got the three children and dogs out of the house and immediately called 9-1-1. Within about five minutes the fire department arrived and battled flames within the 5,000-square foot home.

After hearing they lost mostly all of their belongings, Rhonda told a local TV station, "It's just stuff."  She indicated that some "artifacts that had great memories, but they're just going to have to be in my mind now." As for the most important "possessions" that were saved and unharmed? Above all, her family.
