John Mellencamp must "hurt so good" right now. The rocker is making a quick rebound with Meg Ryan after announcing his separation from wife Elaine less than a week ago. John, 59, and this 41-year-old model wife delivered a joint statement last Friday regarding their separation and in the days after, the musician has been spotted with the 49-year-old actress.
John and Elaine explained they were "proud of their 20 years together" in their joint statment.
Days later, John and Meg were seen getting cozy over coffee on Martha's Vineyard at one of Ryan's favorite spots, Espresso Love, and in NYC, according to PopEater.

"Meg has liked John for a long time, and they are very comfortable together," a source tells PopEater. "They already looked like an old married couple when they strolled through New York's West Village or spent time on Martha's Vineyard."

The quick union between the two is stirring up rumors of infidelity as John and Elaine just announced their engagement.
"They don't care what people say," the insider adds. "They are in love."
Meg divorced actor Dennis Quaid in 2001, alleging infidelity and has one son, Jack, with the her ex. She adopted daughter, Daisy, following her divorce.
John has five children of his own — sons Hud and Speck with Elaine and three daughters from his two previous marriages.
