The CW Network is reportedly developing a spinoff to the original Aaron Spelling teen sensation, Beverly Hills, 90210, a soapy drama about a group of rich high school kids.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Veronica Mars creator, Rob Thomas, is in talks to pen the new show which has been put on the fast track by the CW. The network is expected to make a decision about whether or not to order a pilot by the end of the month.

90210 creator Darren Star is not involved this time around, according to sources.
At an event in L.A. on Thursday, OK! caught up with original 90210 alum, Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) who, when asked about plans for a possible reunion flatly said, "No."
No other details about the spinoff were immediately available. This would be the second spinoff from the 90210 series, which aired on FOX from 1990-2000. The first one, Melrose Place — also created by Darren Star — had a successful seven-year run on FOX and did not feature any major characters from 90210.
