After years and years of waiting for the ladies of Sex and the City to make their big-screen debut, fans of the hit HBO show finally got their fix last summer. But if they were hoping that their next SATC fix was just around the corner, they may be in for a bit of dry spell.
“We don’t know if it’s coming up,” star Cynthia Nixon reveals to OK! at the New York Women in Film and Television’s Muse Awards luncheon in NYC on Tuesday. “We’re in negotiation. I’m very hopeful, but certainly nothing is for sure.”
But what about co-star Kim Cattrall’s confirmation in November that there will be a sequel? Explains Cynthia, “I don’t think anyone’s deals are done.”
As far as the plot of any planned SATC sequel, the fiery redhead has just one request.
“I’d like her to have fun. She had such a hard time last time.”
Although nothing can be confirmed at this point, they are hopeful that it happens.
Cynthia continues, ““We were very excited to get to do the first one, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we get to do another one.”
