Whether he will be on the big-screen or the small-screen is yet to be determined, but it sounds like Dallas' J.R. Ewing will be brought back to life either way, the New York Times reports.
Warner's sister cable network TNT are working on a remake of the '70s soap, while at at the same time, 20 Century Fox says their New Regency production unit is still working on a big-screen version of the show.
The TNT remake would focus on John Ross and Christopher, the next generation of Ewings.
To recap: John Ross is the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen and Christopher is the adopted son of Bobby and Pam who is the daughter of Sue Ellen's sister, Kristen. Kristen, if you remember, is the famous shooter of J.R.
Got it?
It's unknown if the TNT pilot will actually turn into series, but Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy of the original cast have been asked to participate. Some, perhaps all, have given their blessing.
