Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen and Mark Consuelos' names have all been tossed around as possible replacements for Regis Philbin on Live! with Regis and Kelly but sources are now saying that Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey is in the mix.
According to The New York Post, he's on the radar screen right now. Previously known for impersonating Regis, maybe now he'll get his chance to fill his shoes, too! One source indicated to the newspaper, "There's no short list or front-runner." That said, backstage buzz apparently has Dana as the top choice. A rep for the show had no comment and in September Kelly Ripa mentioned, "Truly, it's a wide open canvas. And everybody is in play." Regis leaves the show later this month so it looks like a decision will need to be made one way or another!
