Considering the show first launched on Broadway in 1961, starring in its 50th anniversary revival equates to filling big shoes, even if you're indeed a wizard! That's okay, says Daniel as he spoke to the Evening Standard (via the Daily Mail): "I am so much more comfortable out of my comfort zone," he notes. "To me there's no point in doing it if it's not a challenge, particularly at this stage in my career. I've got plenty of years later if I want to sit back and take it easy if I can. Now is not the time."

Plus, Daniel actually says he's less self-conscious on stage than when he's filming on set. "When you're on film you've got more time to doubt yourself in between takes and more time to analyze. But when you're on stage you just have to get out there and do it."
