'The Dark Tower' Movie & TV Project Gets Officially Canceled By Universal

Universal's time was up today to commit on Ron Howard and Akiva Goldman's adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower and they have officially passed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ron and Akiva were working on a three-movie and TV series of The Dark Tower from Imagine Entertainment, but Universal has canceled the project.
It's not a real surprise to fans since it's been rumored that the studio was having budget problems with the project for months. But still, disappointing news nonetheless.
