Newly single David Arquette had a fun weekend celebrating one his new projects with pal Jeff Beacher, Beacher’s Madhouse, at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

“David was in great spirits, with an ear-to-ear grin all night long and like most of the party-goers, was spotted dancing much of the night — at times even on stage with the performers,” an eyewitness tells OK! of the recently separated Scream 4 actor.

Celebrating both the new joint and 90210 stars Jessica Stroup and Shenae Grimes' birthdays, David seemed to be happier than ever with a plethora of candy to go around.

A partygoer tells OK!, “David was so happy he was like a kid in a candy store, and the theater looked almost like a candy store, with Sugar Factory candy everywhere!”

“David and Jeff presented the girls with a giant cake on the stage — and a performer jumped out of the cake,” to end off the night, sponsored by Sugar Factory and Samsung Galaxy S.
