David Beckham is a fighter, so he's not going to sit back and let reports run wild that he had an affair with a prostitute. The soccer star is speaking out and is ready to attack.

According to new reports, a girl claims she had an affair with David five separate times for $10,000 a night since 2007.
But David spoke to E! News and said the story is false and he is preparing to sue.
"The allegations that have been made are completely untrue and totally ridiculous as the magazine was clearly told before publication," David said in statement. "Sadly, we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it. We are taking legal action against the magazine."

And according to an E! News source, David's statement should be taken seriously.

"It's not just a threat," the source said.
A rep for the magazine told E! News they would be issuing a "statement shortly."
