British soccer star David Beckham can now add the gig of handler to his name. That is, handler for the Olympic torch!
Yesterday the 37-year old escorted the torch from Athens to Cornwall, England! David participated in a ceremony in Greece, as reported by E! News. He's traveling alongside Princess Anne and British officials to the southwest of England. Then the torch will traverse upon a 70-day journey clocking in 8,000 miles!

The torch will end up at London's Olympic Ceremony for the July 27 opening ceremony. It will burn brightly until the competitions end on August 12. Ironically, it's not even guaranteed that David will be selected for a soccer spot on Great Britain's team. Sebastian Coe, London 2012 chairman, told reporters the committee didn't put pressure on the coach to select the soccer stud. "He has to pick the team he thinks can lift the trophy."
