American Idol winner David Cook has just announced his spring tour -- and it sounds like it's going to be a big one!

Not only is he doing a massive 38 dates, but he says he wants to have a show like the spectacular stadium-rock gods, U2.

David, who won the last season of the show, told AOL's PopEater.com that he'll be hitting the road on Feb 13 to promote his brand new, self-titled album.

Starting out in Tallahasee, Florida, and finishing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 25, the stage-show will be influenced by a 2002 performance by the Irish band, known for their towering sets and theatrical onstage antics.
