David Letterman Asks Snooki: "Do You Have a Drinking Problem?"

When Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, she was simply asked point blank if she has a drinking problem. The Jersey Shore star responded with a definitive no. Find out more after the jump!

Dave Letterman simply asked Snooki, "Do you think, uh, um, maybe you need to abstain?" To which she responded, "I definitely don't think I have a problem. I mean, when we're not filming I hardly go out. I hardly drink. It's just, you know, it's summer."

According to TV Squad, Dave mentioned that his friends actually used to send him brochures from Alcoholics Anonymous when he had a problem. The brochures outlined seven signs to point to alcoholism. He explained, "Number one was always, 'Do you drink in the morning?'"

Although Snooki didn't directly answer the question, she did say this: "People don't understand who I really am. They see me on the show as a party animal, whatever...I'm not like that all the time ... I'd rather stay in and watch movies at night than go to a frickin' club."
