Fighting a legal battle on Christmas is no fun. Maybe that’s why new reports reveal that Dawn Holland has dropped the charges of battery against current Betty Ford resident Lindsay Lohan.
"Dawn will not continue to press charges against Lindsay, nor will she be assisting any further in the investigation or prosecution,” Dawn’s lawyer, Kevin Davidson, told E! Online this weekend.

Regardless of Dawn’s desire to put a stop to the charges, the Palm Desert Police Department thinks otherwise and plans to continue their research into the matter.
"We are continuing our investigation. We hope to be done sometime in January,” a spokesperson for the PDPD explained to E! Online.

Dawn was fired from the Betty Ford Center after an alleged altercation with Lindsay this month, when she returned home with friends and refused to take a breathalyzer.
