OK! NEWS: IT'S OFFICIAL BRITNEY SPEARS SIGNS DEAL TO JOIN THE X FACTOR
Demi Lovato and Britney Spears have been announced as the new star judges on next season's The X Factor. While everyone assumed Britney scored the gig, who else they'd choose to sit beside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid was rumored to be everyone from Mariah Carey to Janet Jackson.
Alas, Simon decided upon the teenage singer and actress as the fourth leg at the judge's table and tweeted a picture of the four this afternoon.
“I'm absolutely delighted Britney and Demi are joining us,” said Simon. “Britney remains one of the biggest stars in the world, she's talented, fascinating – and I believe she knows exactly how to spot The X Factor. Demi's had an amazing career in music, TV and film for someone her age. She's young, confident, and enthusiastic. I think it’s really important that she speaks to our younger audience. The new panel will be dynamic and will work really well with the changes we are making to the show.”
