Demi Moore Twitters To The Rescue

Do you think that Twitter is nothing more than a tragic waste of key strokes?
Well think again! While all of Hollywood seems to be using the micro-blogging site to dribble their thoughts all over the Internet, Demi Moore is reaching out to a troubled fan via the service.
The Ghost star, who has over 200,000 followers on the site today posted a Tweet about a Brit named Lisa Connell.
Lisa had come to Demi's attention after an article about her appeared in the UK press, saying she wants to have plastic surgery to look like Demi.
The 29-year-old -- who has terminal cancer -- said that she wants to have nearly $60,000 worth of work done because she wants to look like Demi before she dies.
But when she heard the tragic tale, a horrified Demi took to her keyboard to try and talk Lisa out of the extreme plan.
She wrote: "Wish I could contact this woman Lisa Connell who wants to have surgery to look like me & encourage her to not to! She is a beautiful girl!"

You know, if Twitter helps just one superstar help just one fan, maybe it isn't entirely pointless after all.
