There might still be hope for Dennis Quaid's third marriage! The actor's wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, withdrew her petition for divorce last month after the couple took a trip to Telluride, Colo. to sort things out. How mature!

A source tells E! News: "They have a very explosive relationship but they do love each other. They are rethinking the divorce and seeing if they can actually make it work. It's been a difficult path for both of them, but they don't want to make a mistake and divorce."
The couple, who married in 2004, have two children together: twins Zoe and Thomas, now 4. When the children were just eight days old, they accidentally received an overdose of heparin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Heparin is a blood-thinner and the overdose was potentially fatal. The experience bonded the Quaids and the couple became advocates for patient safety.
