All is right on Wisteria Lane. It looks like the ladies from Desperate Housewives are in the process of wrapping up a deal to solidify Season 8 next fall and possibly Sseason 9, too!
According to Deadline (via Huffington Post), Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria have been holding out for raises since January. Their deal is reportedly singing a happy tune to $325,000 per episode for the upcoming season. Get this — if Season 9 gets the green light, they'll get a pay bump to $350,000 per episode!
The show's creator, Marc Cherry, may now breathe a sigh of relief. He previously told TV Guide, "I've specifically asked ABC to please get the deal done as quickly as possible so I can know." He added, "I would hate to have to wrap up Desperate Housewives in an untidy fashion just because they weren't able to make a deal. But everyone's pretty optimistic a deal will be made."
