Donnie Wahlberg made Jenny McCarthy’s wish come true hours after she confessed she hoped to marry him one day.

“I’m hoping the best for us,” The View co-host, 41, tells me Friday during the Vemma Renew beverage launch at The Loft at The Bryant Park Hotel in NYC. “I love him madly, and I think the world of him. I can’t say I don’t dream of happily ever after, because I’m a typical girl. I hope it comes true.”
And it did!
The New Kids On The Block singer, 44, presented her with a 10-carat yellow sapphire ring hours later, and involved Jenny's eleven-year-old son Evan in the festivities.

But Jenny wasn’t rushing into settling down with the superstar she began dating last summer.
“You know, I don’t know,” Jenny said in December. “I really don’t know. I’m not a psychic, but to say ‘no’ would be foolish, to say ‘yes’ would be foolish. Just in the present moment, it’s great.”

Although the single mom was giddy with excitement when dishing about the romantic proposal yesterday on The View, she wasn’t always so certain about tying the knot again after her first marriage to director John Asher ended in divorce in 2006. (Father-of-two Donnie divorced Kim Fey in 2008.)
In 2009, during her relationship with Jim Carrey, she admitted she didn’t see marriage in her future.
“No,” she tells me. “Well, I think we already are married, it’s just a matter of having a piece of paper. Maybe when we’re 85 and we need some tax breaks? But other than that, no. laughs”
