Nicki Minaj and Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D are huge fans of each other. Ever since they met on the red carpet at the 2011 Grammys they've had a close connection and it might be heading all the way to Italy!

Pauly D was helping Access Hollywood on the Grammys red carpet when he got the opportunity to meet Nicki in person.
“OMG, this is the blackest Italian I’ve ever met,” Nicki said. “We think he is black and I need to see your DNA.”
And then Pauly worked up the nerve to ask Nick to be his Valentine.
“Are you gonna be in L.A.? Let’s do it Pauly, let’s do it,” she replied. “I love your show.”
So what's happened between the two since since?
This past weekend OK! chatted with Nicki at Harrah's Resorts The Pool After Dark in Atlantic City about her love for the Jersey Shore — and Pauly in particular!
So would Nicki pay Pauly D a visit in Italy while he's filming?

"Of course!" Nicki told OK!. "I mean I love his hair. I love how crazy he looks and how his eyes kind of pop of his head and he always looks like he’s so excited."
"That would make me happy," she said. "He makes me happy."

And the feeling is absolutely mutual!
"Nicki is more than welcome to come to the house," DJ Pauly D told OK!.
"I'll make her Italian by association and show her the smush room!" he said."Now that would be 'my moment for life.' "
