While Justin Timberlake, David Beckham, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith and Tobey Maguire were cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night, there was one celebrity who was rooting against the home team -- Donnie Wahlberg.
The New Kids on the Block star was on hand to cheer on his beloved Boston Celtics in their stellar come-from-behind victory.
"I travel with the team," he tells OK!. "I’m not here because they’re doing good. I’m here because I’ve been here for years."
Securing a 3-1 series lead over the Lakers, the Celtics now need one more victory to seal their status as NBA champs, and Donnie can certainly taste sweet victory.
"It’s shaping up perfectly for us to have a party in Boston in about a week," he says.
Like a typical Boston sports fan, Donnie wasn't afraid to talk smack about his team's rivals, not to mention, its supporters as well, calling them "false;" fans in Boston are "real."

"Why would it be tough being a Celtics fan here? I’d be more scared in a convent with a hundred nuns than I would be in this building full of Lakers fans," the 38-year-old says.
Should his boys win the whole shebang, it's shaping up to be a pretty good summer for the singer-turned-actor. NKOTB is currently in rehearsals for their reunion tour.
"We’re having a good time and working hard. We’re very lucky. Our fans have been ridiculous the way they’ve supported us," Donnie says. "I think we sold this place out twice, which is unbelievable."
And how are rehearsals going?
"I’m not quite as nimble as I used to be but I’m okay," he says. "The guys are doing good. We’re fine."
