
Donnie Wahlberg's NYC Flat Floods in Hurricane Sandy; Lives on Bacon & Red Bull Survival Kit

Hurricane Sandy pounded down on NYC leaving nothing untouched in it's path and no one was exempt from the horrific storm including Donnie Wahlberg.
The Blue Bloods actor has been documenting his challenges with Mother Nature on Twitter and unfortunately the brother of Mark Wahlberg lost his apt to flood damage, but remained upbeat about the situation.

He wrote, "Safe & Sound on Higher Ground! Don't worry about me. Material things are meaningless. Check in with those you know in the storm! Stay safe!!"
Before the storm wreaked havoc on his flat the actor and a friend decided to ride out the storm living on bacon and red bull, but that changed when the situation worsened.
He Tweeted , "Me & @worldofjohnny passing hurricane time by catching up on Bacon Of The Month Club Bacon! #sixdegreesofhurricanebacon pic.twitter.com/GYYoClZt."

He then expressed his disappointed for not being able to continue to eat his fav food during the hurricane and wrote, "So much for bacon. My entire building is under a foot of water. Awesome neighbors all banding together to help each other! Stay safe!"

In addition to posting pics, Donnie added videos to his Twitter page showing fans the amount of water that swept into his place.
There's no word on where he's staying now, but his last Tweet was encouraging for those going through a tough time.
"In the worst of times... Somehow... Some way... Make the best of times! Life's too short to be down! Shake it off and pick yourself back up!"
