Sean Penn is already on board to play the lead role, gay politician Harvey Milk, in Gus Van Zant's latest project "Milk."

Now, it seems some more hunks du jour are also joining the cast. Up-and-coming cutie Emile Hirsch will play a gay rights activist. While Diane Lane's sweetheart Josh Brolin will play Milk's political opponent.

Meanwhile, Freaks and Geeks star turned comic book stud James Franco will play Milk's lover and campaign manager.
