It looks like the rumor is true: Drew Barrymore really is being considered to direct the third Twilight film, Eclipse.
The 34-year-old Charlie's Angels star confirmed the news in a recent interview, saying, "I'm one of the directors that is being talked about, which is great, because I'm a director now. But you know, they'll make their choice."
This would not be Drew's directorial debut if she were to be picked. She directed Whip It, starring Juno's Ellen Page, which is slated for release this year.

News that the actress was being considered to helm the third installment of the teen vampire films broke last month. The first film, Twilight, released last year, was a box office hit, based on the extremely successul books by Stephenie Meyer.
Eclipse is slated for a summer 2010 release. The second film, New Moon, hits theaters this November.
