DWTS Watch: Ted McGinley Eliminated
Sept. 25 2008, Published 11:11 a.m. ET
After getting kicked off Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night, Ted McGinley said he may have been too much of an everyman to grab viewer votes.
The TV sitcom veteran, best known for Married…with Children and Hope & Faith, admitted to OK! his fan base just wasn’t the active kind.
“I’m an old dude,” he sighed. “I represent the men who are sitting there — they’re not going to get up and vote. My people aren’t necessarily tech-savvy. I think they’re happy to have me back on the couch where I belong.”
Ted, who competed with pro Inna Brayer, said his favorite moment on the show was completing the foxtrot on the first night. “I was expecting disaster from the judges and Len Goodman started off saying something really kind and sweet. I felt so exhilarated and I was very proud of myself.”
But Ted said, ultimately, he learned, “I’m a sh**ty dancer!”
Still, the father of two, who earned a score of 19 for his mambo Tuesday night, has no regrets: “It’s about the doing. You’ve gotta say, ‘I’m going to take a chance.’ The doing is the win.”

Next, Ted will be filming a Hallmark Channel movie, The Note 2, in Toronto, with actress Genie Francis. “The Note 1 was the highest rated Hallmark movie ever so now we’re doing the sequel. I’m going to start the beginning of November.”
Kim loves her OK!cover story this week about her workout routine. “It’s very cute! I’m proud of my curves but there’s a fine line. You have to get in shape and it takes work.” And now, thanks to DWTS fans, she can dance her booty off for at least another week!
