As Ed Westwick emerges from backstage wearing a straw hat, Tinsley Mortimer squeals in the VIP section when Kings of Leon strum through their hit Use Somebody during the band’s tour launch held Saturday at Borgata Event Center in Atlantic City.
“Oh my God, it was the first time I ever saw them live in concert,” the High Society star, 33, tells me during the DJ Jazzy Jeff-spun afterparty held at mur.mur inside Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. “It was amazing. It’s so cool to be here, too, for the launch of the whole U.S. tour, and of course, Use Somebody is my favorite song ever. I love it, and it was so much fun. I was going crazy!”
Who’s her favorite Kings of Leon band member?
“I love them all,” she says. “They’re all sexy, and it was good to see them up close with the way they did the video with the black and the white. They looked hot.”
While the newly single Gossip Girl guy, 22, hangs out with guitarist Jared Followill in the VIP section during the afterparty, the socialite is excited to enjoy a weekend of pampering at the luxurious property.

“We’re staying at The Water Club, and it’s so nice to get away,” she says. “I feel like I’m nowhere near New York, even though we’re so close. It’s so nice. The hotel’s beautiful, I had an amazing massage at Immersion Spa, and I love it. I want to come back more! It’s so nice.”
She continues, “This is my first time coming to Atlantic City. I’m going to do a little gambling, but it looks like a fun hotel. Everything is enclosed, and it’s all here. You go to the concert, you go to the spa, and everything is under one roof. It’s like Disney World for adults. It’s fun!”
For Tinsley, making time for her female friends couldn’t be more welcome on this weekend when her boyfriend, Brian Mazza, is working in Southampton. She’s joined by a gaggle of pals.
“It’s important to me,” she says. “Especially after going through a divorce, it’s important to have good friends around you, and certainly girlfriends. My sister and my mom are my best friends, but it’s great to be surrounded by great girls who love and support you. I love to hang out with boys and stuff, too, but girls can give you get fashion and tips.”
