Elin Nordegren Celebrates Her Birthday and the New Year Sans Tiger Woods

Rather than sulking in the recent scandal involving her husband Tiger Woods’ multiple affairs with other women, Elin Nordegren has decided to take to the French Alps to celebrate the New Year and her birthday sans Tiger, according to new reports.

Residing in a lavish chalet in the French Alps, Elin, accompanied by her twin sister Josefin and four other friends celebrated New Years at Munchie, a restaurant in town, Radar Online reports.

According to the waitress who served them, Linn Lindquist, Ellen was very happy and surprisingly in, “great spirits,” without her husband as she enjoyed a champagne toast at midnight and wished for a better year to come, Radar Online reports.

Ringing in 2010 and her 30th birthday on Jan. 1, Elin is seemingly doing fine after so much turmoil with Tiger, who celebrated his 34th birthday on Dec. 30.

“They looked really out to enjoy themselves,” Linn told Radar Online of the Swedish beauty’s night out after a ski vacation.

The group arrived at 7 PM and enjoyed a tasting menu of Swedish gourmet food before the clock struck midnight.
