Elisabetta Canalis has finally decided to open up about her past relationship with Ocean’s Eleven actor George Clooney in a new novel by Bruno Vespa and speaks candidly about why their romance ended and how she feels about the 50-year-old now – referring to the actor as a “father” figure.
“He has been special for me,” Elisabetta explains of Geroge in the Italian book Questo Amore via E! Online and peculiarly adds that he was, “just as a father would be.”
Referring to the Descendants actor as sort of a fatherly influence on her, Elisabetta doesn’t seem to have any hard feeling about the break up and sets the record straight on just why she and George ultimately decided to part ways.
“The end of the relationship was not caused by a marriage issue, but instead by our personal needs,” the former Dancing with the Stars contestant, 33, tells Bruno.
While George has moved on and is now linked to Stacy Keibler, Elisabetta still asserts that he is a “real gentleman” and isn’t taking the new romance personally.
