The most enthusiastic member of the Twitterverse, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, has taken to the micro-blog to tell her fans that she's fine after her heart procedure.

The Hollywood legend, 77, updated her followers on Oct. 8 with a cheerful note on her health.

"Dear Friends, My heart procedure went off perfectly. It's like having a brand new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes," she Tweeted.

Regarding her supporters' prayers for her speedy recovery, she added, "I know they all helped. Love you, Elizabeth."

Earlier in the week, the Cleopatra actress slapped certain news outlets on the wrist.

"Dear Friends, I was completely honest with you about my hospitalization," she Twittered Oct. 7. "Now the press, bless their little hearts, had to add something.

"by saying that I had diabetes, which is a total lie. But I guess they can't help themselves. Talk to later as promised. Love, Elizabeth".
