As wedding bells approach for Prince William and Kate Middleton, it looks like maybe they'll need to send an additional invitation to Kate's distant family member: Ellen DeGeneres!

As reported by E! Online, during a segment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show called "Ye Olde Wedding Watch," Ellen explained, "Hold onto your crumpets, everybody." She revealed that she is actually related to Kate!

After Ellen received a letter from the New England Genealogical Society it was revealed that she and the princess-to-be are 15th cousins. The society indicated the two women are related through Sit Thomas Fairfax and his wife, Agnes Gascoigne. The letter read, "You are distant cousins...but cousins still the same."
