Ellen DeGeneres was a hit in her first appearance on American Idol last night, but she is playing coy about who should replace Simon Cowell as the acerbic judge, joking that it could even be her.
"It's also important to see how I fall into this," she tells Extra's Mario Lopez. "If I turn out to be really nasty and mean we don't need anybody nasty and mean, maybe I'll turn out to be that person."
So how are the four judges getting along? "We all love each other like crazy," she deadpans, ending with a telling pause before laughing.
