There may be turmoil on the set of Grey's Anatomy, but life at home couldn't be sweeter for the show's Ellen Pompeo, 39, and her husband Chris Ivery.
"We never try to be apart — we go everywhere together," the actress tells OK!. "I think that if you marry someone you're madly in love with, then that's all that matters."
The actress admits she doesn't know how some people do long distance relationships, but credits pal and Grey's co-star Katherine Heigl with making hers work.
"Josh Kelly Katherine's husband is on tour all the time and they have to navigate that," she says. "I think it's probably very tough for them."
Pompeo's infamously tiny frame has been the subject of scrutiny in the past, but these days the actress says she stays fit with a rigorous workout plan and healthy diet.
"I have a trainer, I do strength work, stretching, endurance and boxing," she says. "I don't eat much junk food. I try to eat six small meals a day."

Pompeo credits her healthy eating to long hours on the job.
"I try to stay away from sugar while I'm shooting," she says. "On weekends I eat what I want. If I eat a Dove Ice Cream bar I feel great, but then I want a nap because I crash from the sugar. If I have to work and memorize my lines until one in the morning, I can't be taking a nap!"
