Eminem's Recovery Lands on Top: Highest Debut of the Year

Slim Shady is back in a big way. Eminem's latest album Recovery is projected to be the year's highest debut so far, selling 741,000 in its first week!
Recovery beat the other two highest debuts of the year, from Sade and Lady Antebellum, by more than 200,000, according to preliminary figures from Nielsen SoundScan, via MTV News.

The strong start of his latest work — which was leaked several weeks early — also marks the sixth-consecutive #1 album for the rapper.

Recovery also sold 225,000 downloads for the second-biggest digital week in history, according to Billboard.
Eminem's collaboration with Rihanna on "Love the Way You Lie" also made a hit on the Billboard charts, debuting at #1 with 338,000 downloads.
