ESPN reporter Erin Andrews can rest a little easier now, as Michael David Barrett was arrested Friday and charged with the federal crime of felony stalking, TMZ reports. Six video clips of of Erin walking around naked in hotel rooms that had been shot through a peephole surfaced in July.
Michael allegedly stalked Erin, “With the intent to harass, to place under surveillance with intent to harass and intimidate, and to cause substantial emotional distress to a person in another state,” according to the FBI.
Erin’s lawyer, Marshall Grossman from the law firm Bingham & McCutchen, told TMZ that Michael allegedly called hotels “where Erin was working in order to locate her and her room number — and some of the hotels revealed that information, permitting him to target her.”
Michael, a 47-year-old divorced father, was arrested at the Chicago O’Hare International airport.
Grossman told Good Morning America that Erin and her stylist figured out where and when the images were shot by looking at the designer jeans she wore in some of the videos.
