“I was 28 when I was cast and it was my first experience with fame and money and time management and stress and publicity and endorsements,” the now ex-wife to NBA pro Tony Parker explained to reporters at the ABC TCA Desperate Housewives panel discussion, “All of that hit all at once and it made me mature.”
Since starting to film the series alongside Felicity Huffman, Terri Hatcher and Marcia Cross, the 36-year-old has been through a lot in both her personal and professional life.
“I have learned two languages. I am almost done with my master’s degree. I was married. I was divorced. Lots has happened,” Eva, now romantically linked to actress Penelope Cruz’s brother Eduardo Cruz, said of how much she has changed.

Regardless of the ups and downs in Eva’s life, the actress explained that, “I love the person that I have evolved to.”
But what will the Texas native miss most about being on set with her fellow cast mates?
“Well, I know I'm going to miss the family that we've created, not only here on the cast, but our crew. We've had the same crew for eight years — the camera guys, the boom guys, the craft services, the grips, and we've been through so many journeys together — marriage and babies and cancer and divorce... so much, so it's like, you know, to miss those everyday faces you see, that's probably what I'm going to miss.” Catch the next episode of Desperate Housewives at 9 p.m. on Jan. 15.
