'Footloose' Actor Kenny Wormald Was "Blown Away" by the Trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming remake of Footloose has just been released and the star of the film, newcomer Kenny Wormald, was "blown away" by it.

"I watched it alone in my house, and that was a mistake, because I thought I was going to scream!" Kenny, a 26-year-old dancer-turned-actor told MTV News. "I was blown away."

And Kenny had some secrets to share about the trailer. In the 1984 film, Kevin Bacon has a crazy scene dancing in a warehouse that features lots of flips. In the film, that scene will be recreated, as hinted at in the trailer.

"We called it the angry dance," Kenny explained. "There's some crazy stuff going on in that scene — some gymnastic stuff that is a little bit from the original and they wouldn't let me do some of it. It's just when it comes to the death-defying stunts — flips and stuff — that's not me. They were like, 'I don't think so. Sit down, Kenny!' "

And as for the backflip that is shown in the trailer?

"All of the dancing is me," he said. "But that flip isn't me — but don't tell anyone!"
