Former 'Biggest Loser' to Win $1,000 from Subway for Every Pound Shed

Looks like The Biggest Loser's Shay Sorrell is replacing Jared as Subway's spokesperson. Besides enjoying a variety of food from the chain's "Eat Fresh" menu, Shay will receive $1,000 for every pound she loses before the Season 9 Finale of the hit NBC series in May 2010.
Shay gladly accepted the Subway partnership.
She inspired millions on Season 8 of TBL by dropping 161 pounds from her starting weight of 476 pounds — the heaviest contestant on the show's history.
In an exclusive interview with OK! in November, the Newport Beach, Calif., native, 30, said her troubled past led to her weight problems.
“Me and my mom were homeless and my mom had a drug problem. While heroin was her addiction, for me, it was food,” Shay said.
Now, the happily married social worker knows that the future is full of possibilities, sharing her goals with OK!:
"I would love to get myself under 200 pounds, but I’m trying to set goals for myself instead of thinking about numbers," she said. "Like, I want to be able to jog or run — even run a marathon!

Season 9 of TBL begins Tuesday night on NBC. This season on the reality show, couples will be working together as a team to slim down. The show will also introduce its heaviest contestant yet, Michael Ventrella, tipping the scales at 526 pounds.
