
Former Disney Star Lee Thompson Young Dead in Apparent Suicide

Rizzoli & Isles actor and former Disney star Lee Thompson Young is dead of an apparent suicide, his manager said in a statement.

"It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning. Lee was more than just a brilliant young actor, he was a wonderful and gentle soul who will be truly missed," said manager Jonathan Baruch. "We ask that you please respect the privacy of his family and friends at this very difficult time."

Lee was perhaps best known as the title role in the Disney show The Famous Jett Jackson, a role he played from 1998 to 2001. He appeared on many other shows since, including Scrubs, FlashForward, and South Beach. He was currently starring on Rizzoli & Isles as Detective Barry Frost.
