Former NFL superstar Junior Seau drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, Calif., and survived the wreck, TMZ reports. The violent crash comes in the midst of Junior's arrest early this morning for domestic violence.
Junior's Cadillac Escalade landed at the bottom of a cliff very close to the beach, TMZ says. He was immediately taken to a local hospital near Oceanside, Calif.
The former footballer drove his SUV off the cliff shortly after being released from jail on bail.
He was arrested in San Diego early this morning, and booked into the Vista Detention Facility around 2:00 AM, TMX reports.

Seau launched in the NFL world as linebacker for the San Diego Chargers followed by a continued career with the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
