Former 'Real Housewives of New York City' Star Alex McCord Blasts Show; Calls it "Faux Reality"

Fresh from being released from The Real Housewives of New York City cast, Alex McCord has something to say about it. The frequently soft-spoken reality star sounded off after being let go from the show after starring in four seasons.

NEWS: TAYLOR ARMSTRONG STAYS STRONG DURING REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS REUNION According to The New York Post, in an e-mail sent to friends, Alex explained, "While we were sad to lose the dollars... we weren't sad to be off that particular show." The e-mail continues, "Now that we are free-and-clear of our Bravo contracts, we have been meeting with... just about every cable network as well as a couple of the main networks." OK! Alex and her hubby Simon van Kempen may launch a new show, based in Brooklyn, about "30-something parents in brownstone Brooklyn." They write, "We would never expose ourselves to another faux reality show." When the newspaper asked Alex if she and Simon would sell the BK show to Bravo, she said, "I don't know, I hadn't, that doesn't mean I wouldn't, it's not just me either, if we did this it would be Simon and me together."
