The Nanny has left Manhattan and is taking on Capitol Hill. Cancer survivor Fran Drescher has been actively seeking support from those in Washington, D.C. to gain awareness for her Cancer Schmancer foundation. ‘We’re going to plan something that reaches out to women globally to take control of their bodies, Fran told Ok! at the April 10 Brick Awards in New York City, to ensure that all cancer is diagnosed in stage 1, when it is most curable.’ And the raven-haired actress has some A-list starpower to lend a helping hand – Angelina Jolie, whose mother Marcheline Bertrand recently passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, has agreed to join the Cancer Schmancer movement. ‘We just agreed to do something together,’ Fran tells OK! about the Oscar-winning star’s involvement in the project. ‘We’ve both been touched with gynecological cancer, and I think we can move mountains.’The Brick Awards, will air April 12 at 9PM ET on The CW.- Alisandra PulitiPhotos: WireImage
